BENBIZ JOURNAL
Sometimes we meet around a table; sometimes we try something together. We share those days here so you can get to know the people involved, see how an idea began and discover what we learned along the way.

How did we start this journal and share our first films? These entries look back at BenBiz’s early steps. Each keeps the date it was written.
We opened BenBiz’s YouTube and Instagram channels. Our first films introduced who we are, ObaNova and the different contributions people can bring together.
We prepared a Media page to bring our films, photographs and conversations together. It was a first step towards sharing BenBiz’s story through images and sound.
We opened a journal to share our work and what we learn along the way. The idea grew while we were working on BenBiz Market: a place to remember the path we walk together.

Open the Reading AreaWhen we share
We share what we have experienced and describe hopes as hopes.
We respect what people say and how much of their story they wish to share.
We acknowledge the people who share their time, work and knowledge.
Tell us if something is missing or mistaken. Our writing grows with what we learn.
In the margins
Three sample notes on learning, making and meeting: drafts for future pages, rather than accounts of events that have happened.

Learning
Imagine looking for a place to learn together: easy to reach, step-free, with a projector and a table for 8–10 people. A note could explain why these things matter.

Making
Imagine tracing hemp from fibre to yarn, cloth and clothing. A research note could bring together what we have learned and the questions we would like to ask a farmer or craftsperson.

Gatherings
Imagine a question that stayed with us, a new idea or a small step we would like to try together. A journal note could include the words people want to share.
A note from you
You can write to us about something you learned with others, a project you helped shape or an encounter that stayed with you. You choose what you would like to share.
