The essence of this text

First make a right visible; only then can giving it away become a genuinely free choice.

This is an authored English guide based on the source document and reconciled with BenBiz’s current public account. It preserves the source’s meaning without presenting older examples, terms or technical assumptions as current policy. The unchanged original remains available as a Turkish PDF.

01

A right is not the same as charity

A right is the recognised counterpart of a real contribution. Charity is a person freely directing a resource or share that belongs to them towards a purpose. Giving something up before one’s right is recognised does not create the same relationship as knowingly donating it afterwards.

A voluntary contribution may be offered from the start with a clear scope and limit. Donating a right that arises later is a separate choice and should be a separate record. This protects both the work and the intention to give.

02

The freedom to say no is part of consent

Voluntary action is damaged where asking for compensation is treated as shameful, setting a limit as selfish, or loyalty is measured through sacrifice. When temporary support becomes ongoing work, the terms should be discussed again.

A person’s ability to define the limit of their contribution, pause or leave does not weaken solidarity. It prevents unsustainable promises and silent resentment.

03

A visible source for the common good

After protecting direct rights and operating needs, a circle may create common social funds under rules agreed in advance. A fund’s purpose, proportion, authority and use should be traceable.

A common fund is not an unexplained deduction made later from someone’s pay. Personal infak should not become an obligation repeatedly imposed on the same people to cover structural deficits. Rights and giving become safer when they meet in the correct order.

Reflect together

Which limits and choices must be written down so that a contribution is genuinely voluntary?

Form your own answer first. Then identify where explanation, objection or a new practical test is needed.
